YMCA Karen's TMJ Treatment

Hi, I am Sarah Michael, an early morning visitor to the Wood River YMCA and each weekday morning, I am greeted by Karen's most wonderful smile and warm personality. Ten days ago, I learned that Karen has been suffering a great deal of pain from a condition called TMJ (Temporomandibular joint) , a painful disorder of the jaw joint and the muscles that control jaw movement. According to the National Institute of Health, TMJ," is a group of conditions that cause pain and dysfunction in the jaw joint and the muscles that control jaw movement. It is estimated, according to NIH, that over 10 million Americans are affected and the condition is more common in women than men."
Karen was advised to seek treatment with a Dentist in Twin Falls who treats TMJ with speciality mouth guards that are designed to fit over her teeth to help reduce pain from an uneven bite and clenching the jaw muscles. The treatment and numerous visits to Dr Romriell for TMJ dental treatment are expensive, $5500, and not covered by insurance. Since she can't pay this amount over the next 6 months, she will be forced to purchase a credit plan costing 16.90% APR.
I am organizing this "GoFundMe" campaign to pay Karen's dental bill so I will be able to see her bright smile every morning and know that she is not suffering any pain. She makes my morning so much brighter when I visit the Y and I know that many others feel the same way.
Karen would never ask for help but because she is a such an important part of the Y Community, I am asking for your generous support. It will mean so much.
