Memorial Fund for Karen Wayland
Donation protected
On Sunday, December 3, 2023, Karen unexpectedly went into cardiac arrest. She suffered an anoxic brain injury contributed by ventricular fibrillation. Karen was pronounced clinically brain-dead on December 6 at AdventHealth Castle Rock, Colorado. She was 62 years old.
Karen wholeheartedly loved her friends and family, especially her Quadruplets, Alyssa, Courtney, Andrew, and Rachel. She was also a devoted fur mom to their dog, Sophie, and cat, Mooie. She leaves behind her children, husband Jeff, fur babies, and a large extended family and friends.
Karen selflessly devoted her life to others during and after her death. Karen donated her organs and tissue through Donor Alliance to give the miracle of life to others in need, which was so befitting to her loving personality. She would have wanted us to help as many people as possible.
As you can imagine, this unexpected and tragic loss has been devastating for Karen’s family. In an effort to alleviate the financial stress during this difficult time, we are hoping to raise funds to put toward her funeral and memorial expenses. All funds will go directly to the Wayland family.
We appreciate your love and support during this incredibly difficult time.
Services will be held on Friday, December 15 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, at 701 Oakwood Dr. in Castle Rock, Colorado.
Visitation to start at 11am. Services and luncheon to follow.
