Please help Kari survive COVID-19!
Kari (age 48) has been a neonatal intensive care RN for many many years. In July she tested positive for COVID-19 & was hospitalized on 7/19. On day 4 (7/23) she posted her last message to friends & family on Facebook:
‘I’m going down for a week on the vent, if I don’t make it, I love you all’.
Kari still remains hospitalized in ICU on a ventilator & has spent weeks on ECMO with many ups & downs. Today (8/21) she survived placement of a tracheostomy with minimal bleeding. There is now hope of getting her off the ventilator in the future.
Her family has been quarantined at home for COVID+ results as well. Kari’s husband Rodney is a Respiratory Therapist.
We ask only for prayers but if anyone is able to help relieve the burden & overwhelming stress of enormous hospital bills all contributions are extremely appreciated.
