COVID-19 Double Lung Transplant Fund - Kari Wegg

I want to reach out to our family, friends and the thousands of prayer warriors to assist with this fundraiser to give my baby sister Kari's family a hand during her battle with COVID.   As most of you know, she was diagnosed almost 1 month ago and has been on an uphill battle ever since.  While we all pray for what will be a miraculous recovery the struggle for Kari and her family is very real.   Her husband Rodney, my beloved brother in law has stayed strong for my sister and their two beautiful boys Gavin, 14 and Gunnar, 13.  He also tested positive along with Gunner and fortunately made it through ok but have been quarantined and unable to work.    Kari has worked tirelessly for 25 plus years as a NICU nurse where she has dedicated her life’s passion to save thousands of newborn babies.  She is now fighting for her life in St Vincent's, the very same hospital she fights to save those precious babies.  During these past few weeks Rodney has done everything that a devoted loving husband of almost 15 years could do to be supportive and attentive to her daily care and the care of their family.  They are a hard working,  middle class family that relies on two incomes to support their modest lifestyle and all their financial responsibilities.  They have never asked for help or a handout, in fact they are usually the ones to give the help when needed.  Would you join me to show them our support by extending a helping hand during this difficult period.  A donation of any amount would truly help their family weather this storm and provide peace in knowing  that while they can't work right now, they'll be able to pay their mortgage, utilities and buy food.  It'll allow  them to focus on the more important things in life like  getting Kari home and well again and back to saving those babies, their love for each other and their devotion to family.   If you could also share my fundraiser link with your friends, it would mean so much to us.  The more people hear about this cause, the quicker we can reach my fundraising goal.
