Karianna Jinguji

Karianna Jinguji is the 16 year old daughter of David and Kristen Jinguji of Billings, MT. (David is Billings very own David Jay of KVTQ news). She was diagnosed over 2 years ago with an extremely rare cancer called Advanced Acute Cappillary Carcinoma Tall Cell Variant BRAF positive of papillary thyroid cancer. (TCV of PTC for short)

There is NO CURE for this cancer. She has undergone a 12 hour surgery to remove as much of the cancer as possible, tried radiation therapy for several months, which was found to cause tumors to grow because of the BRAF mutation, and now doctors out of Houston. The cancer has metastasized to her lymph nodes, lungs, and between her carotid artery and jugular vein. The tumors are kept slow-growing by keeping her thyroid level at almost 0, causing great fatigue, depression, muscle aches and heart palpitations.

All of this is EXTREMELY expensive and her family is in desperate need. Kristen can only work part time because of Karianna's care, and the father's wages are being garnished to pay medical bills. Yes, they have insurance, but they are in year three of high deductibles and co-insurance to say nothing of the cost of traveling and staying in Houston.

Please consider contributing to this fund. They did not ask for this. Karianna remains a humble, beautiful, Christ-loving girl, and we are praying that her cancer can be managed and maintained for years yet and that a cure may yet be found.
