Fighting for Karin
Late Friday night Karin went to the hospital with stomach pains that lead to her being quickly flown to Washington Hospital Center where she was taken in shortly after for emergency life threatening surgery on Saturday, July 25th. Since then she has been back in surgery everyday, as of today (Wednesday, July 29th) she will be going in for her 5th surgery.
Karin is fighting for her life with a very rare blood clotting condition that the doctors believe may be hereditary, we are waiting on result . Our mother was 32 when she lost her life to blood clots and we are praying that Karin can pull through this, but it will be a long road.
As of right now she has lost her right kidney and spleen, had to have her aorta repaired, has had several feet of her intestines removed (with more to be taken today), and will lose one if not both legs. I don't mean to be graphic but want to fully depict how critical this i .
Anyone who knows Karin would say that she is a loving, nurturing, and caring person. She has been there for her friends and family many times and needs us to be there for her now. So anything you can do to help is appreciated, even if you yourself cannot give monetarily please pray for her and share this post.
