Karl and Mary Lou Seelandt

With the heaviest of hearts, my family and I report that on July 6th, 2022, my parents' Karl and Mary Lou Seelandt passed away in a car accident while driving to Florida on their Cross Country vacation.

It was my Daughter Gracies' 1st Birthday. They had just driven from California to our house in Georgia. They loved every minute of the eight days they spent with their granddaughter and us. We are heartbroken that they were not allowed more time as grandparents. However we are grateful that they were able to experience grandparenthood. Gracie is one of the lights keeping us going right now.

My parents were the epitome of love. Married for 48 years, we are grateful to have them as an example of true love and the meaning of marriage. While we don't have much information, we have been assured they did not suffer. They went quickly and together.

We know that they touched many people's lives, and we want to be transparent and supportive of your loss as well. We will update you all as soon as we have information regarding a Celebration of Life. There will, however, be one in Lompoc, Ca and Cocoa, Fl.

We turn to God at this time and believe that they have just brightened Heavens party with wine and charcuterie.
