Karlill and his family need our help
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sean Spies and I'm fundraising on behalf of my friend Karlill Charles Bien-Aime and his family. They need our help.
On December 10th 2021, Karlill got into a tragic head-on collision with a bus on his way home. He sustained serious injuries all over his body, primarily his left side. After the accident he went into a coma. Thankfully he's awake now, but his doctors have yet to determine the projection of his recovery.
Karlill moved to Cape Cod from Haiti in 2015. He was very well-liked amongst teachers and peers. He graduated from Monomoy Regional High School in 2019. We played on the soccer team together, and have been good friends ever since. After high school, he worked several jobs in the community, most recently for a local landscaping company. He found a new passion in painting, which he and I would often do together after work. Up until the accident, he was one of the main financial providers for his family, and was teaching his mother English. However, due to the extent of his injuries, Karlill will not be able to help his family for the foreseeable future. He has already had surgeries for his head, face, arm and leg. He is suffering physically as well as mentally. He's extremely lonely and can only have one visitor a day. His mother has to take care of Karlill's five-year-old brother. On top of that, she doesn't drive, so it's difficult for her to visit him in Boston. Unfortunately, he will be spending the holidays in the hospital alone.
All money raised will go directly to Karlill's family in order to cover medical bills and funds for day-to-day expenses to which Karlill can no longer contribute. Please help Karlill get back on his feet. Thank you.
