Karly's Recovery and Medical Expenses
Karly recently was on life support. She was on the vent from 6/19 until 6/22 in the ICU. She has had two strokes which came without warning and have been devastating. She just recently transferred from ICU to the stroke unit on 6/25. She has made progress but her recovery is expected to take a minimum of 6 months. She has not been able to work and it will be some time before she will be medically cleared to do so. We are hoping that she will be transferred to a rehab and occupational therapy facility next week if all goes well. Right now Karly is unable to move her left arm except at the shoulder. She is unable to grip, squeeze, or grasp anything well with her right hand and is unable to do this at all with her left hand. Her vision is not great right now. She has to really work at focusing on anything and is unable to look to her left at all. Karly has 3 boys, Brandon, 19, Jakob, 18, and her youngest, Luke, 7. Thank you for your support as we continue to rally for her full recovery.
