Karm El Zeitoun Dispensary Relief

The horrific explosion in Beirut on August 4, 6:07 PM, destroyed hundreds of thousands of lives, homes, and businesses. Prior to the explosion, Lebanon had been experiencing political and economic turmoil, as well as a healthcare crisis. More than 50% of the Lebanese people are not medically insured and rely on the services of the Karm El Zeitoun (KEZ) Dispensary for medical care. The KEZ Dispensary, located in one of the poorest neighborhoods of Beirut, provides medications and diagnostic care for the underprivileged at a subsidized cost. Treatments are as simple as insulin for diabetics or blood pressure medication, of which patients cannot afford. Located less than 3 miles from the blast, the KEZ Dispensary is in horrible shape, as well as the physicians who volunteer their time to serve those in need.  We are humbly looking to raise funds to repair the great damage by the blast and restock essential medications. All funds will go directly to the KEZ Dispensary, run by "Daughters of Charity".  Any size donation is appreciated. 


My name is Lilian Youssef, and I was born and raised in Tyre, Lebanon. One of my closest childhood friends, Dr. Afaf Minari, has dedicated her entire career as a physician serving the underprivileged. This includes multiple missions with Doctors without Borders, working in a public government hospital, and now volunteering her time at the KEZ Dispensary.
