Painting & Artist to the USA

This large pastel painting is to be sent to the USA mid May. It was selected for inclusion to the prestigious Pastel World Exhibiton which is held in conjunction with the IAPS Convention (International Assocoaiton of Pastel Societies) June 2017. so far so good............

As the artist, thats me in the photo, hello, I am also going to the USA to attend the IAPS Convention and learn more about pastels, products, practices and techniques. While there attending classes, demonstrations and personnel development seminars, I will be meeting other artists from all over the world -  networking. Most importantly is that I will see my painiting hung amongst the best in the world  for the very first time.

There is accommodation, food and transfers to pay, tips, picture framing, postage and couriers.  Airfares are done thanks to a genourous family member.  I have paid for the registration and participation at IAPS 2017, that was done last year.  Art materials to do the workshop, some bits to buy instead of fly in.

Following hot on the heels of the IAPS convention is another first.  
The Los Gatos Plein-air Week invitational. Little old me is about to participate in thier outdoor painting week. This means I get to paint in the area with 35 other invited artists. A unique and first time opportunity for me. The paintings are put up for sale and the proceeds go to  supporting projects for the arts in the local community.  So really what comes around goes around.

This is Alphonse Lo Artist Bear who will be travelling with me to the USA. Luckily he sleeps in small spaces and eats nothing.


My prevoius fundraising efforts were denied and now dear friends I am hoping that you may in some small way help me to survive the USA.
