Karrie's Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Tori Lucas. My best friend, Karrie Shugart, was in a horrible car wreck and was hit head-on by a drunk driver in Willis, Texas, on Labor Day on her way home from the gym. She has had one surgery so far to attempt to put a rod in her leg for her broken tibia, but because of the swelling in her leg, they decided to hold off until the swelling went down. Because of the trauma she has, such as a broken tibia, broken rib, punctured lung, stage 3 laceration on her liver, stitches and shards of glass they are still finding, she will be out of work for a little while and will be grateful for any support such as donation, prayer or an "I'm thinking of you," text to make her smile. Her recovery will come with challenging and frustrating times for her. She will be lined up for many post-op doctor's appointments, physical therapy, and patience. That said, she needs a lot of prayers, support, and donations. If you can, anything helps. Please keep the prayers going for Karrie. The person that hit Karrie did not have insurance, she will be paying for both surgeries out of pocket.
