Karter Flanigan

I would like to thank everyone for the text messages, phone calls, and words of encouragement during this difficult time for our family. The night my wife passed, I went in the emergency room to say my goodbyes and promised her that I would give Karter the education she always wanted him to have and keep him in all his activities.  Since I am a college basketball coach, the task will be challenging but very doable with great support. My loving wife was always big on Karter’s education. Mannsdale Elementary and The Children’s Academy has played a huge part in Karter’s life and growth. Also, Karter has been going to therapy since he was little due to being born premature and The Smart Therapy Pediatric Clinic has done wonders for my son. Sadly I will need to provide counseling for him to help deal with the trauma of his mother’s passing.  It is tough for a seven year old not knowing why his mom is not at home anymore. I will also need to hire an assistant (nanny) to help with Karter’s after school activities when I can’t make it due to coaching. Everyone has been asking how can they help? Here’s a meaningful opportunity: Help continue to give our son a great education through elementary, middle school, high school, and college. Fellas, if you are married, make sure you hug your wife everyday. I never would have thought mine would be gone this soon. My wife’s Homegoing is covered. This fund is to help with Karter’s future.
