Kasey’s Top Surgery

Hey! If you don’t know me, my name is Kasey Cash. After almost 31 years of life, and many years of struggle I am finally making moves to reach my goal of top surgery.

Over the last 13 years, I have experienced tremendous back, shoulder and neck pain, headaches, rashes and cuts from having to wear multiple sports bras and binders, and feeling helpless and dysphoric. This has grown to be even more painful and challenging being a first responder and adult athlete.

This is a medically necessary surgery that I have needed for years but unfortunately insurance companies follow different guidelines than doctors. Although some portions of the surgery would be covered, I am still left with an overwhelming out of pocket cost. Overall, totaling between $10,000-$15,000.

If you know me, you know I am an extremely humble person and asking for any type of financial help is extremely hard for me. Sharing this part about my life is even harder. However, I have been reminded by those closest to me that it’s okay to ask for help from time to time.
