Kasi Weston Funeral & expenses
Donation protected
With a heavy heart I’m fundraising for my little sister Kasi Jo Weston. She was younger but always much better with words than me. So here goes.
We unexpectedly lost Kasi June 28th.
Kasi had just turned 30 years old in May.
She was truly an amazing soul not only as a daughter, sister & aunt. But as a friend to many. Kasi always had the best way with words, she was always there to lift anyone up who was feeling down.
If she called you friend you never had to worry because she had your back & was never afraid to step on anyones toes to stand up or protect you.
She loved her niece & nephew more than anything. They lit up her world. She often flew to Florida to visit them for pillow fights, nerf gun wars & trips to the beach.
Kasi had over come so many obstacles life had thrown at her with grace. No matter how hard life would get she would be there handling it to lighten the load for everyone.
Kasi had moved to the city & created her dream life after being release from prison in her early 20’s. She found true love & began to find her truest self.
she was very involved in AA & helped women transition from prison to halfway homes. She enjoyed conferences & public speaking. She was passionate about helping other women see there is hope for another chance to change your entire life. If you put in the work and made choices to align with the goals you set.
Truly a one of a kind woman & friend to anyone who was in her presence.
On November 2019 together we watched our father take his last breath after a long battle with cancer. It brought us closer than ever but destroyed a part of kasi that she couldn’t get back. Her light began to fade.
it breaks my heart to have watched her life go from story book perfect to loosing her to addiction. Kasi had been sober for 10 years. Alls it takes is one low moment, one lapse of judgement.
But we are not our mistakes. We are the good we put into the world. The people we pull out of the trenches & lift up. Kasi was truly an inspirational women who helped so many others. Always there to say the right thing & pick you up in some way. I learned so much from her. Hearing others memories of her makes me admire her even more. That’s the kasi I will remember forever. The giver, fashionista, the animal loving, book reading, smarty pants.
Kasi is a go big or go home type of woman & I just want to make sure her final farewell is everything she would want it to be.
I hate having to do this or ask for help in anyway.
But this is the hardest part of life. Loosing loved ones is never easy.
Any thing helps. A prayer, share or donation will go along way & would be greatly appreciated by our family.
Hug your siblings & loved ones extra hard.
