Kasia’s Car was Stolen

Hello! My name is Jenny and I’m starting this fundraiser for my dear friend Kasia. A little backstory: We are nurses at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. We are required to be at work no matter what the weather or driving conditions may be and the hospital expects you to plan accordingly and prepare ahead of time. We stayed at the Aloft Hotel last night so we would be close to the hospital since we had to drive into work in the snow. We got up this morning to go to work and found her car was stolen from the parking deck. (It was definitely NOT towed.) Our backpacks were found in the stairwell with items stolen from them as well. There may be security camera footage at the exit gate but we haven’t heard back about it yet. The manager of the Aloft did not offer any help.

Kasia does have insurance, but the car was paid off last year and she was excited to no longer have a car payment. When she looked up the value of her car she learned the value was much lower than she expected and she definitely won’t be able to get a reliable vehicle with just the insurance money.

I am hoping our community will come together to help this ICU nurse. She selflessly paid for a hotel so that she could get to work in hazardous weather conditions to serve her community. She has two sons who’s car seats were in the car. Please consider donating.
