Kasia's Water Main Break Disaster
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
Those of you who know me well, know also how difficult it is for me to ask for anything for myself. I'd rather figure out how to solve any problem on my own. However, every so often we all face a mountain that we just cannot scale. I am standing in front of such a mountain today.
My main water line is broken and water is flowing into the ground at an alarming volume. My water bill has risen from $120 last year to $485 last month.
Today, I received an estimate (see image below) that rounds the cost of repair to $5,800. The crew will have to break ground both inside and outside of the house. As you can imagine, I am horrified and scared, because this bill exceeds anything I could ever pay. With a car repair of $1,690 last month, all my "emergency money" is gone.
The best payment plan they offer still leaves me with $500 a month payments. The Homeowner insurance will not pay for anything, until I settle the bill.
This is my last but very hopeful resort. If any of you that are able, could contribute even the smallest amount, I would be forever grateful and pay it forward to others in need.
I realize, that most of us are in financial uncertainty due to the economical situation caused by Covid-19, and so I will absolutely understand if you cannot help at this time. I hope there are better days coming for all of us.
Thank you for reading and considering donating any amount to my cause.
Much love,
Kasia
