Help with Kassandra’s end of life costs

Our dear friend Kassandra is in her last days of this earthly life after a long battle with metastatic cervical cancer.

As friends who have been involved in her care over the last week and a half, we would like to rally around her and her family to help take care of the cremation and other end of life care costs, as this has been a big concern for her daughter Samantha who has travelled from Ontario to be with her mother. We would really like to help alleviate the financial worry for her and her family during this difficult time.

Kassandra is a shining light; she found her calling in teaching and has been a dedicated Waldorf teacher for many years, teaching on the Sunshine Coast, and in Kelowna BC, at the Shambhala School in Halifax, the Knowlesville Art & Nature school in NB, and privately in her home in Halifax. She was very excited to teach a group of our grade 8/9 boys in her home this fall after her recent move to join our community in Blockhouse, NS.

Kassandra has been a member of the Christian Community for Religious Renewal in both Toronto and Vancouver, a member of the Anthroposophical Society of Canada, and member of the First Class.

Kassandra‘s wishes are to cross the threshold peacefully at her home, to have her body anointed and lovingly cared for, and laid out in a vigil, followed by cremation.

Funds received will go towards cremation and any other funeral related expenses.

Please share this with anyone who knows Kassandra, who is connected to Waldorf education and teaching (anyone who knows a Waldorf teacher, knows they do it out of love, not for the money!), anthroposophical circles, or anyone else in the community who feels moved to donate to support this cause.
