Help Kassie Allen with Medical Costs & Living Expenses

Kassie has been diagnosed with severe malnutrition and has not received any real answers as to what caused it. She has been in the hospital several weeks but has been in pain for even longer. Her body has struggled to tolerate feedings through a tube, been dehydrated and tests showed high liver enzymes, her heart rate has been erratic, and her sugar has been unstable. She has not been able to eat food since March 19th. She was at Columbus Regional Hospital for a few weeks but has now been transferred to IU Methodist in Indianapolis. She now has a great team of doctors trying to get to the bottom of what is causing these issues and get her healed. She has gone through test after test and is patiently hoping and praying to get answers soon.

While she is in the hospital waiting for answers, she is not able to work, run her wildlife rehabilitation sanctuary, Lakota Haven, or take care of her own fur babies. Up until April 1st, all medical bills were coming directly out of Kassie’s pocket and added up very quickly. Her mom, Mechelle, has been trying to continue working while also spending time with Kassie and making sure she gets the best care possible while in the hospital. However, IU Methodist is much further from home and she needs to stay close by. The hospital does not allow overnight company due to COVID restrictions, so Mechelle has been paying for a hotel room each night since Kassie was transferred.

Kassie has a great heart and would love to get back to her love of dirt track racing and saving animals. She could really use help with all of the medical costs, monthly bills, and other costs that continue to rack up while she is in the hospital.
