We are so heartbroken to share that our sweet, smiling Kat has left her earthly body. This sudden and unexpected loss has absolutely devastated family and so, so many very special friends. Kat’s colorful light shined so bright onto every human and creature she met, as was evident in the outpouring of love and sharing of memories surrounding her in these last days. To all who had the blessing to experience her, Kat was a disco ball, full of style and joy, made of music, and a gatherer of community. To all of the eyes on her, she was dancing her way through life, and always reflecting her light and other’s lights across the room. She truly appreciated the preciousness of life and the value of our time and impact on this earth. We were all so humbled to learn that Kat was registered as an organ donor, and the family is fully supporting this decision to gift love onto others in need. As with the broken pieces of the disco ball, her light will now disperse, radiating into strangers whose lives will be saved as her organs bring joy and hope to families she never met. We know that Kat would want a party, a Jags game-day, festival-family style celebration of her expressive life. Her Celebration of Life will be hosted at the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center in Jacksonville, Florida from 1-6pm. All of your gracious donations will go towards what will surely be a memorable event full of spirit and lots of love. As Kat would say “don’t be sorry, be silly”.
