Kate Dietz Springsteen

Kate is the incredible single mama to Anouk and Amaranta, age 4. Kate is battling a rare kind of cance, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. Cholangiocarcinoma is an aggressive cancer of the bile ducts.

"I had a clear CT scan in November of 2023, when no one was looking for cancer. A routine MRI in February showed a mass in my liver. The cancer is in my liver, in my lymph nodes, and doctors suspect that it has metastasized to the lungs as well. It's not a good situation.

Cholangiocarcinoma is a rare cancer, with an incidence of 0.7 per 100,000 people in the US, and yet it is the 6th most deadly cancer. Over 80% of patients like me do not survive their first year. The 5 year survival rate is just 9%."
