Kate Harrison's Cancer Marathon
Donation protected
Kate hates social media. So, you can imagine her excitement when her brothers, Scott and Chris, suggested a GoFundMe page to help her alleviate the financial burden that comes with fighting the only thing she hates more than social media: aggressive & invasive breast cancer.
Chemo begins on January 5 and surgery will follow. She has enlisted the support of amazing health care providers, friends, and family. We appreciate your encouraging thoughts, prayers, and willingness to help. Since we know this battle will come with a financial strain, we're asking you to help heat her house, send her fantastic children (ages 14 and 11) to school with lunches, keep them enrolled in sports and after-school activities, and off-set the medical bills that health insurance will not cover.
Your contribution will be disbursed as needed for Kate and her family's needs so she can outrun cancer. Once Kate puts cancer in the rear-view mirror, she will identify the charities that should benefit from remaining funds because fighting cancer doesn't stop with Kate's battle.
Enjoy this cover photo of Kate "thanking" Scott for promoting her first appearance on the internet since 1998. This photo serves the dual purpose of capturing Kate's feelings about 2016 (rough year!) and breast cancer. We'll send a follow-up picture to thank you for your donation and we'll keep you posted on her progress.
We're grateful for your support - Kate's brothers: Scott and Chris Harrison
P.S. If you haven't seen or heard from Kate for ages, we're sorry to report that she has not changed: tough shell with a warm heart; she works in the Emergency Department at Boston Children's Hospital. She usually takes care of people having the worst day of their lives. You understand how much she hates this, but how important it is to get her back to helping others weather life's storms.
