Kate & Kelsey Covid Relief Fund

The financial impact of COVID-19 has been devastating, causing so many to seek financial emergency help for rent, food, utilities, transportation, and other critical expenses. For Kate, Kelsey, and their 9 month old daughter Maisie, this is now a difficult reality. In late September, Kelsey was diagnosed with COVID-19. Despite being a vigilant rule-follower during the pandemic - masking, hand washing, social distancing, sacrificing family time and social gatherings - she, Kate and Maisie are nonetheless dealing with this truly terrifying diagnosis. Thankfully, though Kelsey has not yet fully recovered, she is on the mend and no longer contagious. She, Kate and Maisie are slowly but surely returning to "normal" life.  In the meantime, however, the family has lost a month's worth of income from both parents. Kelsey is not yet able to return to work, and so the family is still without her substantial income, with no guaranteed date for it to resume. Kate has only recently been able to return to work. Not only was she solely responsible for caring for Kelsey and Maisie due to Kelsey's required isolation, but Kate's workplace policy would not allow her to return until after a mandated quarantine period, despite the fact that she was not ill and tested negative for COVID. Deciding to start a GoFundMe was a hard choice, as Kate and Kelsey both are incredibly self-sufficient, and are usually the ones to offer help to OTHERS in need. However, Kate and Kelsey are our best friends, little Maisie is our niece... and Katie and I want to come to their aid as much as possible. This is bigger than just us! So we are appealing to our vast community of loving folks, because we need YOUR help to bring them the relief and peace of mind they need in the coming months as Kelsey's health continues to improve. Please, PLEASE consider contributing to this fundraiser to help them to not only get caught up, but to help with medical expenses, groceries, and incidentals. We've set this fundraiser at $1000, an amount which right now would be life-changing for them.
