Help Katelyn&Hazel With Down Payment For New Car

Hi, my name is Katelyn. I am starting this go fund me page because I am currently in a very difficult position, resulting in me desperately needing help to provide for my 2-year-old daughter Hazel.

I am a hard-working, full-time medical assistant and single mom, with a desire to become a registered nurse. Unfortunately, I have been struggling financially, which has led me here to tell my story. 

Six months ago I bought a 2014 Nissan Rogue for $10,000 and I paid for it in full, it was great until 4 weeks ago when the transmission died. It was going to cost > $5000 to repair, but the shop stated it wasn’t worth fixing due to the type of transmission and the cars mileage. In addition, I have been experiencing homelessness since July due to my landlord selling the property I was renting. Between paying for hotels since July and now paying for an uber almost daily, I am really struggling.

I feel like my daughter is suffering from not having reliable transportation like we have always had. Hazel doesn’t do well with changes in routine, and it is really starting to show, which breaks my heart. I am doing what I can to make her life as normal as possible, but so much is out of my control at this time. By not having a car, my daughter has been missing her monthly doctor’s appointments, preschool, and more. I am struggling to find rides to work, the store, and my own doctors’ appointments.

I have applied for a used car loan from a local dealership, and they will provide a 2-year warranty, so this won't occur again. Unfortunately, they require a $3,000 down payment, which is not something I can come up with right now due to my current situation.

 I am humbly reaching out to the community in hopes that you would be willing to assist me in establishing reliable transportation for myself and my daughter. This is so difficult for me to ask, as I don't like to admit I need help. I would be forever grateful and appreciate any assistance that you may be able to offer.
