Katelyns Battle

This is my niece Katelyn. Katelyn is 6yrs old. On Dec 7th after a visit to the dr for appearing pale and a mother’s instinct something was wrong, Katelyn was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and was immediately admitted to hospital where she will spend the next 12 months receiving treatment. 

Katelyn has already had many bloody transfusions, lumber puncture and bone marrow procedures as well as intense rounds of chemotherapy. 

Katelyns Mum, stepdad and 3 other siblings have relocate to be by Katelyns side 4 hours for home. Leaving them under immense stress emotionally and financially. 

Due to the side effects of chemo Katelyn is being fed a high nutrients formula via an NG tube and takes medication which unfortunately isn’t covered by Medicare. We are asking for donations to cover the bare essentials which is, at this point in time is food and medication for the next twelve months. 

Katelyn  is a very bright and bubbly young girl, and despite all she has been going through still has a smile on her and a passion for learning.
