Katelyn’s Playground - Le Cheile Africa

Myself and Owen are building a playground in Solai, Kenya, Africa with Le Cheile Africa and in memory of our precious daughter Katelyn.

During my trips to Africa I have got to know and love the children in the community. They are very special. They live in extreme poverty and their little bodies are ravaged by malnutrition.

While they need so much more than a playground, this playground is a building block to happiness for them.

Le Cheile Africa have many projects and each one is dedicated to improving the lives of the people in this community. This playground hopes to compliment their ongoing projects.

The playground will provide a place for the children to simply be children for once. To smile, to play and be happy. Hopefully forget all their troubles for a while.

This is my dream and hopes for them.

This park will be dedicated to Katelyn and all babies and children who never got a chance to play.

Katelyn, while she is not with us, she is with me in spirit in everything I do. She is my little butterfly on a summers day, she is there in sunrises and sunsets. She is part of us always. Until we meet again.

There will be a memory wall where volunteers, visitor's or anyone who has lost a child can write the name of their child or special date to remember them.

Myself and Owen are funding the main cost of this project personally. Donations will help us with the cost of it and enable us to make it a very beautiful and special place for very vulnerable and special children.

All donations are greatly appreciated and I will be showing the progress of the park as it progresses in 2024.
