Katherine Faith Pearcy Memorial for HCISD Spec Edu

Katherine Faith Pearcy was our angel on earth for almost 26 years, full of pure innocence and joy. She blessed the lives of all who had the pleasure of getting to know her smile, laughter, and loud exuberance for life.  Her time on this earth is over now and our angel has moved to her home in Heaven.  While here though, she spent almost 20 years of her life being served by the Harlingen CISD Special Education Department as she grew and progressed through her time in the Harlingen public education system.  Katherine loved her HCISD family and would jump and laugh with joy in her wheelchair every morning when hearing the school bus turn into the neighborhood to pick her up.  Her joy for seeing her classmates and teachers translated into an amazing attendance record of only about 10 absences over her entire school career.  The HCISD Special Education Department was able to provide resources and meaningful instruction that maximized Katherine's development and potential. We are deeply grateful for the blessing and service that the HCISD Special Education Department and all of the staff in the district who worked with her during her time with our HCISD family.  It is with a grateful heart that we will make a donation of any memorial gifts received in Katherine's honor to the HCISD Special Education Department so that they can continue to have a positive impact in our community as they strive to serve and enrich the lives of our special needs children and their families.
