A few years ago, Katherine Trevino, RN, moved back into her family home with her mother, Betty Vasquez-Moone and step-father George, to help take care of George who had been diagnosed with ALS. This home has been in her family for almost 30 years.
Though he was sick George and the rest of her family began to remodel and upgrade the home. Sadly, George passed away with his family by his side. Though grieving, they continued to renovate and remodel the home with the home in order to place it on the market this summer.
On Valentine's Day a fierce fire broke out. Katherine's mom was home and able to escape with the family dog. The family cat is missing. The fire quickly engulfed the home and resulted in a total loss.
While much of the loss loss is covered by insurance, much is not. Katherine will be unable to work full-time as she deals with relocating the family, rebuilding the home, and sifting through the challenges of insurance rules. She has lost all of her possessions and is trying to do all of this, while starting over literally with the clothes on her back.
We we are asking Katherine's friends to join with us to help in any way possible. When you lose everything even $5.00 or $10.00 makes a big difference!
