Kathryn Shipley and Kadis Marie

Hi everyone, we are The McAllister Family. We are reaching out to tell you about someone we all love and adore with all our hearts.

Our dear friend Kathryn Shipley was recently diagnosed with Colon cancer, stage 3A. She is fearlessly facing a five-year plan to rid her body of the cancer, which began a few weeks ago with surgery, and is scheduled to undergo 3 months of chemo. Her port that she named “BrownLee” was successfully placed today, in preparation for her treatments starting next week.

There aren’t enough words to express how deserving Kathryn is to feel our love and care, along with monetary support. To say Kathryn is one of the most beautiful people on the planet, is an understatement. A word that comes to our minds when we think of Kathryn is Selfless. Kathryn is someone who gives everything she has, to be a champion for others, and does so with the biggest heart and joy that radiates from the inside out.

The funds raised from this GoFund Me will help with medical costs that are already mounting, close to $10,000, as well as future costs. The funds will also help with taking care of her granddaughter Kadis Marie, who she is the primary caregiver of. Between having to take time off work, and the schedule of her treatments, we hope to raise enough to take care of Kadis Marie’s daycare expenses as well. It is of the utmost importance that Kathryn is able to fully heal, and having Kadis keep that sense of stability at daycare, will allow her do that.

Let us come together as the KShip Strong community and show our love for Kathryn. It’s our time to give to her, as she is always selflessly giving to so many. Every little bit helps, and any contribution will make a difference. Let us pray for her, let us send her all the love and positive energy, and let us stand by her side as she fearlessly faces this head on.
