Kathy Covarrubias

Hi, I am Edie. I am Kathy's older sister. She was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. At this time she has many other issues going on.

As of Friday March 24th she has been admitted to Fort Wayne Parkview regional. We are waiting for testing, on possible pancreatic issues.

She will be starting her chemo next week. And I think it would be nice if they would be able to spend the 3 days a week in Fort Wayne, at a hotel rather than running back and forth to be there at 7:00 in the morning.

At this time she does not have insurance so everything will be coming out of pocket.

I know she begged us not to do this GoFundMe but I believe it is in her best interest.

She thinks of it as pity and does not want it but I think the stress of not being able to pay bills and not being able to work will be greater. She stated that she just wanted love and support and I believe we can do both!

I started with a lower amount not knowing exactly if she will be able to qualify for any help or not..

Okay I'm done rambling. Show her you love her ❤️❤️❤️ Even if it's only $5 or even words of encouragement.

Update: 3/24 They will be keeping her and starting treatment in the morning. The soonest she will be released is Tuesday. Don't forget to send encouragement or drop in for a visit! I will update as I find out more.
