Kathy Howerton Home Going Expenses

Some of my fondest memories are of Kathy, whom I call aunt Kathy, babysitting me. Going to her house was always an adventure. She baked cakes and let me help, she somehow made Brussel sprouts delicious, and she let me stomp in the mud in my brand new red galoshes. She eventually had two beautiful daughters of her own, and she created a life for them. Things were never easy, but when you were with Aunt Kathy, you knew things were going to be okay, because she believed things were going to be okay.

Right now, things are not okay.

Kathy is in hospice. She doesn’t have life insurance and when she passes, the expense of cremation will fall on Holly, her oldest daughter’s, shoulders. Holly has been on unpaid leave because she is spending her mom’s final days with her. We are requesting donations to pay for her cremation expenses ($1,800), death certificates ($20 each), transportation of the body ($50). Holly would also like to have a celebration of life for her mom at a later date. Anything that you are able to donate will help with final expenses.
