Kathy Martinez Funeral Fund

We are Joshua and Justin Martinez and we are writing on behalf of my mother, Katherine Martinez (08/04/61-1/4/23) to ask for help with funerary costs. Her passing is a sudden, devastating loss to our small family, and  we hope to raise the funding so  wecan put her to rest.

Katherine J. Martinez was born on August 4th, 1961, and was best described as vivacious, strong-willed, and a cancer survivor. She was a widow these past 13 years and is survived by her two sons, myself and Justin Martinez, as well as her siblings, Ruthie, Mary, Helen, Cheryl, Ron, and Chris. Kathy was well-loved and immediately drew concern when reports began that she had gone missing during the severe flood hours in the Galt area, north of Lodi on the early morning of New Year's Day. My brother, aunts, other worried family and I began the grueling task of calling local emergency services, hospitals, and coordinating with searches both on the phone and in person. She was recovered in her car on the evening of 1/4/23 after three long days of heartbreaking uncertainty.

We are now asking the difficult question of how we can give my mother the service and care she needs. With your help, we hope to lay her to rest with the dignity and honor any of us would hope for their own mother. If you cannot give personally, we ask that you please share this page with others. It is all we can ask, and it would mean the most, to Kathy and her family, that the burden of tragedy is not solely ours during what should be a time of new beginnings.
