Kathy Norris Cancer Treatment

Hi, I’m Sabrina Stanley, and I’m raising funds in support of my grandmother, Kathy Norris. In June of 2018, her life was put on pause when she found out she had breast cancer. After years of rigorous treatments and strict doctor-recommended diets, the cancer has metastasized to the lung, lymph nodes, and bones. She has also been paying out-of-pocket to treat recent diagnoses of Macular Degeneration and Osteoporosis during this same period. This has been a constant up and down battle for her financially, physically, mentally, and emotionally. As someone who has been married for 46 years and loves to travel and experience new things with her husband and family, the financial burden of these treatments has created a problem in continuing her everyday life.

She has had health insurance her entire life, but the life-saving treatments her doctor has proposed will not be covered by insurance. The cost of these treatments will be at least $60,000+ without traveling expenses, as she will have to travel out of state for a length of multiple months. The goal of this fundraiser is to ease the financial burden so that she can focus on receiving treatments and fighting this devastating diagnosis so that she can be with her family for years to come.

She is a beloved wife, sister to three siblings, mother of four, grandmother of seven, great grandmother of one, and loving friend to all of those who are blessed enough to meet her. She was never a smoker or drinker and has maintained a healthy lifestyle to combat illness and disease in general.

She has given to others her whole life, she is a church goer, and constantly puts others’ needs above her own. Anyone that has ever met her instantly loves her, and knows her heart is made of gold. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren love her, and she has been a huge part of their lives. She supports everyone and has truly created a home for the entire family.
