Kathy Parsch Flood Fund
Donation protected
On 5-19-2020 Kathy abandoned her house in the middle of the night with just the clothes she was wearing. Due to several dams in the County breaking, she was in the middle of the most catastrophic flood our town has ever seen. When we arrived at her house two days later, the only thing left was the foundation, her house and cars were gone. We then borrowed kayaks to go search for her house. We found it had floated almost a quarter mile to sit in the middle of the Tittabawassee River. We salvaged a few items but were unable to find her mother’s ashes. Kathy is the most giving and fun loving person you will ever meet. Her job is considered essential, and due to COVID 19, puts her life on the line everyday working 40 hours a week. She will give the shirt off her back, and never ask for anything in return. This is the best way we know of to help her. Insurance will not cover her house or truck. This fund will be to get her on her feet, to help with a car and place to live, and basic necessities. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping Kathy. I know she’s very overwhelmed. Just Incase you are wondering who set up this campaign? Rachel Tijerina from Bay City, MI and Karen Stephenson from Midland, MI. Both Karen and I are employed at the same place as Kathy Parsch in Midland, MI. I have worked with Kathy for over 16 years and have become really good friends. We are hoping the funds will help Kathy replace her truck and help her with basic needs since everything is a total loss. This money will go directly into Kathy’s checking account. She is the only one set up with access for withdrawals.
