Hi, I’m Alizabeth and I’m raising money for funeral services for Kathy Stellar. She is currently on a life support after she unexpectedly quit breathing on 10/30. Her children Ryan, Dereck, & Nicole had to make the very difficult decision to let her go (tonight) so they can carry out her wish of being an organ donor to help other families. Because that is what Kathy ALWAYS did. Kat is a natural born helper. She is always ready and willing to help anyone who needs it, and has always gone above and beyond to take care of the people she loves. And you always knew just how much she loved you. She is an absolutely amazing Mother, Step-Mom, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, daughter, friend, and “adoptive Mama” for all of her children’s friends. Kat was always cooking, and cleaning. You never walked into her home without being asked if you were hungry. Her laugh is absolutely contagious, and she always expressed care and concern, even to people she just met. Many people around Winfield will remember her from working in the deli at Stracks, and all of her customers became friends. It was just the same at Family Express where she has worked for the last year… Always greeting people with a smile, and asking them about their family and life. Kathy wasn’t someone who just said hello. She vested herself into the lives of all the people she encountered, always. She is one strong, strong woman as she lost her first born Son, Doug, in 2010 which ripped a hole in her soul. Yet still, she never skipped a beat taking care of and showing love to everyone around. Even her former husband, Jack, who she went on to have a lifelong friendship with. She continued to take care of him and help him out always. She would even clean for her boys Dad, “Pops,” as we all know him, and maintained a lifelong friendship with him as well. Many know her as the “Warden” because she was forever and always creating the calm through the chaos to keep her boys in line. She had plans to move to Arizona to be with her boys in just a few short weeks. The loss of their dear, sweet mother will be felt so hard for the rest of their lives. This is why I am asking for any assistance to give her the service and goodbyes she deserves and take the financial burden off of her children at this very difficult time. My heart goes out to my forever friend, and “brother from another mother” Ryan and his whole family.
