Kathleen Schwartz Teague's Fight Against Lymphoma

Nothing can prepare you for that call, the call that changes your life, the call that says you have cancer. My best friend received that call a little over a week ago. She was told to go straight to the hospital and check in. Several days after her biopsy, Kathy (Schwartz) Teague was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Kathy has been my best friend for 30 years. Over the years, she has had many medical emergencies, but nothing like this. Her and Jabari have faced trial after trial. They never ask for help. Over the past several months, Kathy has had numerous emergency surgeries, including an appendectomy while she and her family were on vacation!

Kathy is a fighter to the core! She has always been one and she will fight cancer with style, grace, and bravery. I am asking her friends, family, co-workers, and community to help the Teague family ease their financial burdens during her upcoming chemotherapy treatments. They face the unknown every moment of every day. Please help them focus their energies on healing rather than financial worries. Above all, the family asks for thoughts and prayers for strength and healing.
