Our beloved Kathy is now resting in peace after a courageous and long-term battle with cancer. Your generosity will help ease her family's pain by assisting with final expenses.

Here is a heartfelt message directly from Kathy a few days before she passed. If you ever loved or cared for her, now is the time to help. Thank you.

"I was diagnosed with anal cancer in the beginning of 2022. I did 6 weeks of chemo once a week and 6 weeks/ 5 days a week of radiation. Went back to work in June- got checked about every 3/4 weeks. Was told in August that it was gone. In February 2023 I had carotid artery surgery and was out for 4 weeks. Went back to work still being checked. After an MRI and the same cancer this time a tumor in/on my liver was diagnosed. I started chemo every 4 weeks, 4 doses each time to try to shrink the tumor for surgery to remove. The tumor did not shrink, we still did surgery in November of 2023, removing 35% of my liver. I was told in December that they got it and then again was cancer free. We did an MRI in February of 2024 and were told that they found a spot on my liver and a small cluster where the liver was removed. At this point we tried immunotherapy for fear of chemo again would be too much on my body. I did 3 infusions, 1 every 4 weeks. 3 days before Mothers Day, I got yellow jaundice because a duct in my liver had closed up. I had surgery to have a stent put in. Billy Reuben numbers were at 12, went to 11 and they sent me home with follow up blood work. Next numbers were 8.9 which was great but then started going back up to 9.9. My last blood work was 16- we started immunotherapy. The team felt that even though the numbers were high, they did the immunotherapy because they didn't want to stop fighting the cancer. Fingers crossed that this works. I do blood work once a week. Still watching the Billy Reuben numbers, still tinted yellow from the jaundice. This week we are going to try radiation, maybe 3 doses and then possibly back on immunotherapy. Slowly running out of options.”
