Kathy Whetstine Fitness Trail

I am Jeff Whetstine, and Kathy Whetstine was my dear wife.  On June 17, 2015 she was running at 5:00 am in Wellman, IA, training for the Quad Cities Marathon on September 27, 2015.  She was struck by a car and suffered a traumatic brain injury.  For 11 days in ICU, we hoped and prayed for indications that Kathy could become Kathy again.  The MRI said otherwise.  Kathy died on July 10, 2015 in our home.
While caring for her, I thought about and cried about how senseless this tragedy was.  I knew that, for her sake and mine, something positive must come from it.  That's why I am attempting to raise money to help fund a safe fitness trail in Wellman for others to use and as a tribute to her.
