Help this family grieve their son!

Hello, my co-worker and I are starting this fundraiser because we believe every parent needs and deserves the chance to grieve. No parent should have to worry about bills being paid while enduring such a tragic event.

We have had the pleasure of working with Braden's mom Kathy Jo for the last 10 years. She is an amazing gentle soul who gives of herself to her family and loved ones consistently. We have grown to love this entire family.....Jay (Braden's Dad), his sister Riley, and Kathy Jo.

The sweetest family has been struck by an unfathomable tragedy. This past weekend, Braden, an off-duty US serviceman made the ultimate sacrifice. He heroically gave his life while protecting a woman from a violent situation. This has devastated his already stressed family. In addition to now grieving for their son, the parents have little to no sick or vacation time from work due to their own medical issues and the many medical visits their special needs daughter has. We are asking first for prayers for this family, and if you are able, a donation so we can cover some of their expenses while they deal with all the decisions no parent should ever have to make and grieve this unimaginable loss.

Please help us shower Kathy Jo and her family with comfort and love by donating so she and her family can have the time they need together to grieve the great loss of their hero. We, her coworkers tried to cover her in PTO but unfortunately, we are unable to pay it forward to her in this way. It won't take much, but it would mean the world to a family who is experiencing the greatest loss, the loss of a child and sibling.
