Kathy's Fund to Beat Cancer

This is Kathy's daughter Rose, and I'm running the fundraiser. I want to say thank you so much, everyone, for helping us! Kathy has been overwhelmed by all the love and support she has received from the community. We are so grateful to live in a place where people come together to help each other.

Kathy was diagnosed with late-stage multiple myeloma on April 6th of this year. She has already had surgery on both arms and will be starting chemo in June. Recently we were told that she will need to spend a significant amount of time in Vancouver in order to go through a stem cell transplant. She has limited mobility due to the damage to her bones from the tumors and will need to stay close to VGH in the likely event she develops a fever/needs emergency care. We are hoping to raise funds to help cover the cost of accommodation, transportation, food, and her chemo medication.

Kathy is an amazing single mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Any help will go a very long way to help support her and her family during this difficult time
