As parents , our worst nightmare would be your child being diagnosed with a serious illness; this happened to our friend @katieJefcut.
On his 8th birthday Katie’s son Jude was diagnosed with a brain tumour and admitted to John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford where he underwent a gruelling operation to remove the tumour - they managed to remove 95% of it, but found that it had spread to another part of his brain.
Katie has been at Jude’s bedside in Oxford constantly, unable to work or see her daughter, who has just had her first birthday. This has touched many of our hearts and we have asked “what can we do to help”, there is very little that we can do practically to help as we all have to make sure that we keep a social distance.
However, we can help her financially - for fuel and parking costs alone from MK to Oxford - have you seen how much it costs to park at John Radcliffe?
If everyone who likes Katie’s social media posts were to start off by giving £5 each, we would reach £500 in one hit. Katie is also in the process of moving to a house to give her family more room to grow.
