Help Jesse's Wife Katie & Son Hunter Rebuild
Donation protected
Jesse Ross’s coworkers are setting up a GoFundMe account to support Jesse's wife Katie and their son Hunter.
Jesse was recently involved in a devastating car accident that resulted in his own critical injuries and the death of a family of four. This horrific accident has been a grave tragedy for everyone involved and has brought pain and suffering to all. We mourn the lives of those who were lost and hold the loved ones who remain in our thoughts and prayers.
Jesse has been a trusted and respected colleague and professional engineer for years, and has supported a wide range of important and consequential wetland restoration projects across California. On the home front, he has been the sole provider for his wife and son since 2009, when Katie suffered a debilitating brain aneurysm while 6 months pregnant with Hunter. Katie has since undergone 18 surgeries and is unable to walk. Jesse has never wavered in supporting his family, seeing Katie through operations, providing care for her when she is home, and caring for and raising their son together. Jesse is currently unable to care for his family, so Katie and Hunter have moved to Florida to live with her parents. Family separation is another devastating result of this tragic accident.
We wish to support Jesse’s family in this time of need by raising funds to offset the cost of immediate and long-term needs.
Immediate needs include the cost of moving, household bills, medical bills, the needs of their 14-year-old son Hunter, caregiver needs for Katie and extensive, ongoing medical needs that include physical therapy, treatments to help her walk independently, stem cell therapy, acupuncture, and chronic pain management.
Long-term goals for Hunter include attending college to become an engineer like his dad – a mechanical engineer so he can work with his hands, and because he shares Jesse’s propensity for fixing things.
Please join us in supporting Jesse Ross’s family during this incredibly difficult time.
