Katie And Justin Raposo

My name is Catherine Strickland I am trying to raise funds for my daughter Katie Raposo and her Husband Justin after the terrible loss of

their almost 4 month old daughter Sophia on

April 29th 2022 due to sudden infant death

syndrome. Unfortunately my daughter and her husband are really struggling financially and

because of our government rules Katie does

not qualify for any financial help she has been

refused EI sick leave, Ontario works denied

her and so has disability, so she has been

forced back to work part time at wendys less

than 2 months after her daughter Sophia’s

death in order to try and feed and keep a roof over her 3 year son Graysons head, she was

not even given the opportunity to grieve the

loss of her precious daughter. If you can find it in your hearts to help my daughter out it

would be greatly appreciated…… I really don’t understand this government that runs our country…..she is also being told that she has to

repay 3 months of parental leave that she

received even though we informed service

Canada 2 days after Sophia’s passing. This

is the hardest journey our family has ever had

to go through
