Katie Colquhoun Stavola Family Trust

Our dear friend Katie Stavola passed away yesterday after a fight with a very aggressive form of Metastatic Melanoma Brain Cancer. Not only was Katie a wonderful friend, but a daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and most importantly a mother to her son, Marlin. Anyone who knew Katie knows that Marlin was her priority. During her last few weeks Katie focused on the financial stability of her family, and Marlin's future. As you would expect, Katie did a great job getting everything in order.

Shortly after being diagnosed, Katie created a team with a primary focus on Marlin’s future. Katie made it very clear that she would like a trust to be set up for Marlin. That trust is now in the works. The funds from this GoFundMe will go towards the Marlin Stavola Trust Fund. At the appropriate age they can be used for college, a car, a house, etc. Anything you can do would be appreciated.

Old Saybrook and Block island will never be the same. We will all miss Katie’s friendship, energy, smile and laugh.
