Katie Davidson's Recovery Fund

Dear Friends of Katie Davidson,

On Tuesday, December 14th 2021, Katie was in a terrible car accident while returning home to Petaluma from a wonderful weekend in Los Angeles visiting friends. The accident occurred at the base of the grapevine pass and the details of the crash are still unclear. She was quickly taken to Kern Medical Center, a level two trauma ICU in Bakersfield, CA. Katie arrived unconscious and has remained that way. She was diagnosed with Diffuse Axonal Injury (DAI), which is a very serious traumatic brain injury. 

Love and healing support is coming to Katie and the Davidson family from the entire planet and her family and friends are reaching out to all of you for financial support as she will have a very long recovery. Funds raised will support Katie’s medical costs that are over and above her insurance, paying her monthly bills as she will be unable to work for some time, and supporting her family to be at her side during her rehabilitation from this serious brain injury.

Katie is 32 years old and is the most fiercely loyal, fun, and incredible friend, big sister, and daughter. Katie is employed as a registered nurse at Sutter Hospital in Santa Rosa. Katie is a hero, as she has provided loving care to her patients prior to and throughout the pandemic. Katie loves to travel, hike, cook, and is a superb athlete. Her friendships are very deep and every person who she touches whether lifelong or new friends feels her warmth and caring.

Katie is a beloved member of the San Geronimo Valley community in Marin County. Katie, along with her sisters Alexa and Sophie, is 6th generation Marin County. Her mom and dad, Mike and Samantha grew up in Marin and live in Lagunitas. Her family has been at Katie’s side from the moment they arrived in Bakersfield.
