Katie Doty Family

Zach Doty, Katie Doty's husband and the boys' (Andrew, William & Paul) dad, was killed in a crash on February 22nd, 2023.

Zach's sudden death would be a huge loss under any circumstances but this year has already brought some big adjustments, especially for the boys (like attending school rather than homeschooling and Grandpa recently moving to hospice).

Their family has already been working overtime to stay connected. Katie has kept the boys involved with sports, church, friends and family. I've been amazed at how much time and effort she has been able to pour into giving the boys good memories despite everything and helping them process what has already been going on. In addition to that, Zach and the boys spent this winter daydreaming about trips and planning ambitious and exciting projects to do together this year.

They've had heap on top of heap for a while already and this is a full dump.

Above all, they need love and prayers...

Katie has been a stay-at-home mom and homeschooled the boys until this past school year. Zach had always been their primary financial provider and manager which allowed Katie to do that. While that has been wonderful for their family, it now means that we don't know whether Zach had life insurance, whether or what assets they may have had, where to get information about them, etc.

While all that is being figured out, Katie will have to scramble to pick up what Zach was paying for without having all the information about what he was paying for and how and without currently having an income...in addition to planning and paying for a funeral, searching for a job, grieving and giving the boys a mountain of love and support.

With this fundraiser, we're hoping to relieve some of their immediate stress and provide Katie with some recovery and quality time with her boys.
