Katie Duffy's Aidlink Fundraiser Loreto Beaufort

Hi my name is Katie Duffy, I'm raising money for Aidlink. Aidlink works with partners in Kenya and Uganda to help those furthest behind, usually women and girls.

We are a group of 30 students from Loreto Beaufort Rathfarnham travelling to Kenya in June as part of Aidlink Immersion Programme 2024. Our trip will help us understand the causes and realities of global poverty and injustice, especially amongst younger people. We will be immersed in the culture and day to day life of the host community we will be visiting. We will get to see first hand where the monies raised through Aidlink gets put to use - from providing daily lunches, handwashing facilities, animals and crops, to delivering life-saving equipment.
