Contribute to Katie Gallagher's Legacy Fund

Katie Gallagher (1986-2022) was a painter and internationally-recognized fashion designer born and raised in rural Pennsylvania. She established her own fashion line, Katie Gallagher, in New York City in 2010. Under this label, she completed 26 collections that premiered during New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. She was working on her 27th collection, which she planned to show this fall. Katie died unexpectedly at her home in New York City on Saturday, July 23, 2022. The exact cause of death is yet to be determined.

The funds raised here will first be used to ensure that Katie’s latest work is finished and seen in a celebration of her life and work later this year in her beloved NYC.

Beyond this, we, her family, aspire for this fund to be the seed money for a foundation to be started in Katie’s name to support future projects and initiatives that will preserve Katie's legacy, celebrate her life's work, and help other artists achieve their hopes, dreams, and goals.

Katie was unique, beautiful, smart, unabashed, and always wanting. She was relentless in pursuit of her art and ideas, eschewing stability, and reaching for something beautiful, dark, and true. Katie loved stories and chose to tell them through fashion. Although our hearts are aching, we have found some solace in the ambition to continue to honor Katie’s dreams and make sure that her story is told.
