Katie Graham & Family Relief Fund

After much care and several complications, Katie is healing and feeling better; but three months in the hospital...of which a least a month was spent intubated in Intensive Care, takes a lot out of a person. There is much therapy and rehabilitation ahead. Her job is protected, but we have just hit the point where leave will be unpaid. Michael has been spending nearly every day at the hospital, supporting Katie and advocating for her to receive optimal care while also helping our children navigate this crazy new era of online school, and lately one child attending school in person while the other must currently remain doing studies online. We don't know what we could have done without the support of our family and friends, they have been our bedrock. 

Katie has been recommended and authorized to return to the Acute Rehabilitation Hospital,  and as soon as a bed is free (hopefully tomorrow!!) she will transfer back and continue Physical and Occupational therapy to get her strong and able to return to work and activities of daily living. 

So, this is the part where I humbly ask our family and friends for any help they can provide in getting us past this and easing our stress about bills. It is my understanding from talking to HR at Katie's job that our insurance's employer contribution is covered until the end of October, and then it is on us to cover the premium 100% until she returns to work. I estimate this cost to be around $1800/month conservatively. Anything helps, and is greatly appreciated. Having any bit of less stress concerning the costs of housing, energy, insurance, fuel, etc will help us to build and maintain a trajectory toward healing, remaining emotionally positive, and focused on rehabilitation.
