Katie Peterson- medical emergency

I'm Katie's mom, Cheryl.

In Katie's own words, "So, I woke up Saturday and noticed something was not right with the right side of my body. Late Saturday night, I finally took myself to the er, where they admitted me. I don’t know at all what is going on, still, but I do know that the right side of my face is not working, and I have extremely limited use of my right arm and leg. I’m currently at the hospital in Kirkland, where they are re running a ton of tests. But it sounds like I will be here for at least a week, possibly longer. Please send all the good vibes, thoughts, prayers mine and the kids way.

I keep asking what I have to do to go home, and it’s my goal to be home sooner rather than later, cause I sure miss my kiddos."

Per my conversation with Katie's nurse this morning, she will be having an extensive MRI and a lumbar puncture today. Katie will be in the hospital for one to two weeks after she is medically okay for reconditioning and to build up her strength.

Although Katie has health insurance, she will be facing huge co-pays as well as her regular bills as a single parent. No income during this time could be catastrophic for her and the kids.
